Due to a new work place, I have recently had to make the switch from Excel to Google Sheets. It does not seem like my old shortcuts still work. How does one merge cells?

Hello,

Merging cells is super easy.

Highlight/select the cells you want to merge.

Head to the tool bar and look for this

This will do it for you.

This button will be greyed out when the cells cannot be merged, for example if nothing is selected or you selected two cells which are not next to each other then you can't merge anything.

To un-merge cells, highight the merged cell and press this same button.
