I am an avid Mac and Apple user, and I can find my way around on that OS very easily, but I am running into an issue recently on Windows 10. I am getting the message "Task Host window prevents shut down." How can I fix it?

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click on Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
  3. In the left window pane select "Choose what the power buttons do".
  4. Click on “Change settings that are currently unavailable".
  5. You will see the "Turn on fast startup" option, uncheck it and save the changes.

This is a Disable Fast Startup method.
