I was looking for a VPN to help protect my Internet surfing, and I wanted to see if Tunnelbear is safe. It looks like it has some good reviews, but I was hoping someone could tell me for sure.

Tunnelbear is safe. It has been purchased by McAfee, a large, reputable cybersecurity company. Tunnelbear uses OpenVPN, which is an industry standard. It also uses 256-bit AES encryption, which is considered safe.
