[Affiliate Deals and FAQ] 10 Reasons Why the Humble Bundle is Much More Humble than You Would Understand

While you’ve likely heard of the Humble Bundle, you likely don’t know just how humble it truely is. Here are ten reasons the Humble Bundle is a million times as humble as thou art.

I think I am actually humble. I think I'm much more humble than you would understand.

The Humble Bundle Sells Books

Do you like BOOKS? It seems that a lot of people like BOOKS. Humble Bundle routinely has bundles of high-value, interesting, and informative books available.

At the moment there are book bundles available on Robotics and Breaking in the Game Industry, both of which are perfectly suited to getting a newcomer familiar with those respective disciplines.

If you’re a fan of comic books or would like to be, there are also usually comic book bundles available as well. This one has a ton of great first volumes from highly acclaimed comics series.

Current bundles can be viewed on the Humble Bundle homepage.

You Can Reclaim Jerusalem

Whether you are a casual, a tryhard, a tryharder, or a tryhardest, it’s time to reclaim Jerusalem. As they say in my home country (of Jerusalem), “it’s time to die for salvation, with dedication; no capitulation, annihilation; papal commendation, reincarnation; heaven is your destination.”

LARP as a Computer Technician

Do you want to build a PC, but are poor, unskilled?

PC Building Simulator, developed by Claudia Kiss, lets you live out your fantasy of running your own PC-repair business. Better yet, this game aims to actually teach you the step-by-step process of how to build a computer IRL.

Bonus: There is also a game developer simulator out there that lets you balance creativity with mundane things like going to work and taking care of yourself like a human.

Humble Bundle Tabletop Simulator

Tabletop Simulator, by Berserk Games, is a great option for anyone who wants to play a serious game of Chess or go on an epic RPG campaign but lacks the resources or friends to do so.

It comes complete with 15 classic games to choose from, such as Poker or Mahjong, as well as thousands of community-created games available through the workshop. If you’re the creative type, you can create and share games as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=76&v=JBqernEHjUc

As you can see in the trailer, RPG figurines are animated, and makes them feel kind of like Wizard’s Chess or Holographic Space Chess. As probably the most important feature, Tabletop Simulator even allows you to flip the table in a rage when you lose, just like in real life.

Learn to Code (Games and More!)

Yet another amazingly informative and practical bundle from Humble, this collection gives you everything you need to learn to code for a very low price!

The courses included range from HTML/CSS to JavaScript to Python, and will get you started making games that are rendered in 3D and use VR. If Borat was here, he would probably say, “Very nice!”

Cultist Simulator

Have you ever considered joining a cult, but were afraid that you wouldn’t be able to work it into your schedule? You could always try Cultist Simulator, available for purchase here.

Developed by Weather Factory, Cultist Simulator presents a card game that allows you to start your own cult, indoctrinate individuals, summon alien monsters, and so on. It may be the best video game/card game hybrid since this legend.

Simulate Trains

Game developers have discovered that anything, from performing surgery to driving a bus around can be simulated if you try hard enough. Humble Bundle also has sims available for working on a farm and repairing planes.

However, the best kind of simulator is obviously one that involves TRAINS.

One such game is Train Sim World, from Dovetail Games, a contemplative work of art that allows any lover of the rails to feel the sense of freedom that comes with boarding a train. When you’re on a train, nothing is dictating where you can or cannot go…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=47&v=HBebC5jArRQ

The best thing about trains is that they allow for all kinds of stunts that cars haven’t even thought of yet.

Trains are becoming so popular nowadays that they’re being introduced in games of all genres, but for out money, you can’t go wrong with a classic train sim.

Purchase Illegal Anime

Are you tired of turning off your anime to play video games? Now you can experience your anime and video games AT THE SAME TIME with these amazing games.

First up, we have...Final Fantasy XIV! Square has gone on record saying, “This really is the final fantasy that we’re going to make. No, we mean it this time!”

Next we have Jump Force, the game that puts all of the OP Shonen Jump Characters in one game so they can beat the ass out of each other. It doesn’t have the best character roster in fighting games but it comes pretty close after this classic:

Finally we got HOP STEP SING! KIMAMANI ~ SUMMER VACATION. A simple look at this trailer will tell you whether or not it’s the game for you.

Tape a Computer to Your Face

Virtual reality has come a long way. While virtual reality used to be garbage, in 2019, you can play mainstream, big name titles in VR, such as Fruit Ninja and A Fisherman’s Tale.

If you’re a hipster, there are at least a few obscure games that support VR, such as Fallout 4 and Skyrim (related: The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Collector's Edition, regular/non-VR).

Mainstream, Top-Selling Games

Simulate Worlds

A YouTube commenter once remarked, “[ReviewBrah’s] food reviews always make me forget about terrible reality, they are a form of escapism, thank you for this break.”

To which ReviewBrah replied, “it’s my absolute pleasure to help you, we all need things to distract us from this awful world.”

Other such things may include:

Deport Aliens

Aside from robots and zombies, aliens are pretty much the only other group that everyone has decided it’s okay to shoot indiscriminately. These games will allow you to hecking get rid of aliens completely guilt-free!

Fight People for Crack

The new Grand Theft Auto game looks great.

Especially the very nice online edition.

Desecrate Graves

Meet Laura Kraft. She’s a wiley, morally-grey adventurer who won’t hesitate to exhume some corpses if it means getting a fat payday.

There are many Laura Kraft adventures available through the Humble store, including her two most recent outings.

Don’t Get Ebola

There’s only one pandemic response simulator that is really characterized by realism and immersivity, and that is Biohazard 2. Play as the director of the CDC as you try to limit the damage of spreading viruses.

In Conclusion

Think you're really righteous? Think you're pure in heart?

Well, I know I'm a million times as humble as thou art

Humble Bundle FAQ

General FAQ

How does the Humble Bundle work?

Humble Bundle is a distribution platform that sells games, ebooks, software, and other digital content, and donates a portion of their proceeds to charity. They have a digital store, as well as monthly bundles of content for subscribers.

How does Humble Bundle get games so cheap?

Humble Bundle is able to together bundles of premium games for ridiculously low prices for a few reasons.

One is that the games that are included have typically been out for awhile, and have hit their break even point. The developer/publisher assumes that most people that have a vested interest in purchasing the game have already done so. Because all the games are digital, including them requires no additional cost to the publisher, and any sales through Humble Bundle are pure profit.

All of the developers share in the bundle’s profits. Though this is not a lot per developer, it greatly adds up when thousands of people purchase a particular bundle. Overall, this adds up to more profit for the developer, since they would have sold much fewer individual copies of their game at a higher price.

Aside from the profits, being part of Humble Bundle also results in free publicity for the developer’s game, as it lets more people hear about it and give it a try. If people like the product, there is a high chance that they’ll recommend it to friends and purchase other games in the series.

Finally, Humble Bundle is a charitable organization, which encourages developers/publishers to distribute through them. Their profits go toward a good cause, and it is good for the developer’s reputation.
