I recently bought an SSD for my computer. I want it to be my new primary hard drive. How do I move Windows 7 from my current drive to my new SSD? Do I have to reinstall it?

Most likely you will not need to uninstall if you know how to clone/image the drive. It may be a complicated process depending on your technical skill. To clone your old hard drive to the new hard drive, you will need: 1) USB / SATA Adapter or internal connection on the computer 2) Software to do the cloning. 3) You may need to shrink the partition Follow the procedure on the following link:

To clone computer system from HDD to new SSD, I prefer to use Renee Becca which can help me to transfer all information in the system disk and the boot sector to the new SSD. I do not need to install any software or activate them because the clone will make the new SSD same with the original system. And I can boot the target computer with the new SSD after cloning finished. Maybe you could have a try of this software to clone disk and the solutions in the following guidance to fix the boot problem of the SSD.
