The difference between Arduino and a Raspberry Pi is the processing power. The boards used by most Arduinos have a lower processing power compared to those used by Raspberry Pi.

  1. Raspberry Pi is a mini Computer capable of running multiple programs at one time whereas Arduino is a micro-controller which repeatedly runs one program.

  2. Raspberry is tough to power with a battery, whereas the Arduino can easily be powered by a battery.

  3. Raspberry Pi can be easily connected to the internet using ethernet, USB or WiFi dongle whereas Arduino requires external hardware to have any kind of internet connection.

  4. Arduino is cheap but Raspberry Pi comes for a fair amount of price.

  5. The processor used to Pi is from the ARMS Family whereas Arduino uses AVR Family Atmega328P.
