I'm running my code and trying to use 'sudo killall vscassistant'. It doesn't seem to be cooperating in my line. Anyone have any pointers?

This is a popular fix for the error "There is no connected camera" on Mac. It happens when you try to use FaceTime (called iSight formerly) mostly, sometimes also when using other camera-requiring apps like PhotoBooth. Skype, Google Hangouts and certain webpages also utilize the camera and therefore can throw up this error.

What you do is run this command through the Mac Terminal and relaunch the app that was throwing up this error. You'll be good to go.

The sudo killall part means that you're giving a killall command -- a command to terminate all applications (don't use just killall, always add an input regarding which app you want to kill). And as that's a superuser level command (admin privilege for Windows users), you need to add the sudo.

The VDCAssistant part means that you want to kill the process VDCAssistant and nothing else. The VDC Assistant is basically a software component on Mac systems that helps run FaceTime and PhotoBooth. This is an inbuilt background process.

Some design is good, some design is bad, and yet some design is just full retard Comic Sans with a rainbow gradient on it.
