I recently purchased a new Linksys Smart Wifi router. I have set up the device but am running into issues with setting up port forwarding. Can someone who has figured this please help me?

1. Open the browser and type the router's address: (Default Address) (Alternate address on some devices)

2. Now Login to the portal by filling Username and password

3. On the top right click on the “Status“ tab and find internal IP Address. It will look something like 192.168.xxx.xxx

4. Click on the “Applications & Gaming” tab > “Single Port Forwarding.“ Here you can port forward any port you need to open for your device.

5. Choose a name for the service (small description eg. web, camera, Xbox, etc.). The external port is the port you wish to open, Internal port is the port leading to the machine on your home network.

For “Protocols” select the option for “Both.“  For the IP Address, enter your Internal IP address from “Step 3“.  Click Enable and then Save Settings.
