I'm having permission issues, getting an error that says "Windows cannot access the specified device path or file". How do I resolve this problem?

You can either Check file or folder permission

  • Go to the specific file or folder and do a right-click.
  • Select Properties > Security tab.
  • Choose the desired name from the Group or user names list to validate the permissions.
  • Click on Edit, then checkmark the desired permissions and finally click OK.

Or Unblock the file

For this first, you have to verify and then unblock the file

  • Go to Properties.
  • Check for the note: “This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.”
  • Select and right-click the blocked file.
  • Go to Properties.
  • Under the General tab, choose Unblock.
