Every time I open up my Chrome it says Error: Chrome didn't shut down correctly. It asks me to Reset Chrome which I have done and it still keeps saying the same thing. I think something is wrong.

  1. Close Google Chrome and open Windows Explorer.
  2. Enter the following in the address bar.
  3. Windows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\
  4. Locate the folder called "Default" in the directory window that opens and rename it as "Backup default."
  5. Try opening Google Chrome again. A new "Default" folder is automatically created as you start using the browser.
  6. OR

    1. Open Chrome, go to settings, scroll down and expand the advanced settings option.
    2. Click on Restore settings to their original defaults
