I am working on a Node.js app and I keep getting the error "Can't set headers after they are sent" on one of the routes. I can't seem to track down the source of it. Does anyone have a suggestion?

When you do the res.json, you are sending a header, and you can't post a header 2 Times in the same call. You can only do a res.json one time.

Method 1:

Get rid of app.configure() and call app.use directly in your top level scope. Also, make sure the following functions are called only once per request:

res.json()
res.send()
res.redirect()
res.render()

Method2:

Maybe you called the previous res.redirect without a return statement so that the next function will be called immediately afterward:

auth.annonymousOnly = function(req, res, next) {
    if (req.user) res.redirect('/');
    next();
};
