I've got an error on my PC that says "Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service." Does anyone know a fix for this or have had this problem before?

Try this method of checking the setting of System Event Notification Service on your computer

  • Open run box, type services.msc and press Enter.
  • Right-click System Event Notification Service, then select Restart. If Restart grayed out, click Start instead.
  • Right-click System Event Notification Service again, select Properties.
  • Set the Startup type to Automatic. Then click Apply > OK.
