In my Microsoft windows search filter host, I am having a problem which is the program is using too much CPU. What is the solution to this issue I am having?

This is a patsy account used by the 256 Kilobytes staff to seed content.

Since search filter is related to indexing of files, you can resolve the issue by opening the control panel and look for indexing options. 

  1. Now click “Modify” present at the bottom left side of the screen.
  2. Click “Show all locations”. Now the locations which are checked means they are actively indexed by the computer. Uncheck huge locations (in this case, local disk C) and other file locations which may prompt the search process to spawn again and again. Press OK to save changes and exit.
  3. Restart your computer and check if Search Filter is still consuming High CPU usage.
